The meaning of the term "Arthurian legend" is not "King Arthur" but in fact the Matter of Britain. At least three editors have recently made this redirect and been reverted by one editor. The page "King Arthur" in fact deals only with the king and not the larger matter of Arthurian legend and it is really strange to see insistence that it is the correct redirect rather than the actual subject. King Arthur is about the character "King Arthur". Matter of Britain is literally defined as "the body of Medieval literature and legendary material associated with Great Britain, and sometimes Brittany, and the legendary kings and heroes associated with it, particularly King Arthur." Arthurian legends goes to the place that discusses Arthurian legends, not to the page about Arthur, and whether or not he was real. Ogress 14:37, 5 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
