Can we improve or delete this article edit

I looked at this article as it appears on the cleanup listing for WikiProject Somerset. It seems very unclear whether this person ever existed and I'm having real problems finding any reliable sources to expand and improve it. The 1st reference is in French (which I can't read, but used Google Translate) but appears to be about John Thorne who died with Richard Whiting (abbot) on Glastonbury Tor in 1539 - but I can't see how this gives the name Arthur. The second reference gives info about Richard Whiting (abbot). The 3rd ref seems to be about the name "Arthur" but does mention Arthur being a martyr of the 16th century. I would suggest the article is renamed to John Thorne (martyr) or similar, expanded and clarified or deleted.— Rod talk 11:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Insights edit

I found very few sources in English about him.

Most probable thing is Arthur of Glastonbury is Jean Thorne (Arthur is his name in religion). He's blessed by the Catholic Church, not Saint. I don't know how to change the title of the article.

I don't think the Roman Church has a Saint Arthur. I only heard of 2 blessed: him and Arthur Bell (Francis as his name in religion). I also found reference to an Arthur of Ireland (12th century) in Spanish but didn't have time to check it.
