Delete. C'mon, Wikipedia deleted the Hammer of Glory, a real Pilly item that tapped the opening keg at Philly Beer Week but this douchebag has a Wiki page? There are no "Russian Projects" in NE Philly. I grew up there. Source? A bored editor at Philadelphia Magazine let an article pass muster, and that is notable? Petelav (talk) 23:49, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why does this jerkwad have an article? It's been deleted before, let's dump it and ban whoever remade it. JorgeMacD (talk) 16:41, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wonderful idea, Wikipedia admin! Let's ban someone trying to help other people (like me) seek information. I know, I know, it's what you do. Still, couldn't you find something else to destroy to feel better about yourself? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.225.243.159 (talk) 04:37, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

On the other hand, you could have checked and seen that he is not only not an administrator, he hardly ever edits. We also expect editors not to make personal attacks on other editors and to assume good faith - see WP:AGF. The article was discussed and there was no decision to delete it. We do have notability guidelines and articles on people need to pass our notability criteria, which was the issue in this case. Unlike JorgeMacD, I am an administrator if you are looking for one. There is no record of his attendning Temple University. He also claims on many occasions that he attended an ivy league school [1], please cite a reference for your information or delete the erroneous claims. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zarkonite (talkcontribs) 03:28, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

employment history edit

Please correct, employment history. He was an insurance salesman for Ameriprise. Please see source: Idaho Department of Insurance records. [2]85.114.20.7 (talk) 01:16, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

In my experience, lots of people who are brokers / financial advisers also have insurance licenses. --CliffC (talk) 01:30, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Either way, there isn't any factual evidence behind any of this. The reference points to an article quoting Arthur Kade himself. It should be taken out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.144.103.65 (talkcontribs)

Cliffc: this does not constitute proof of employment, your sources are unreliable and clearly violate Wikipedia's quality standards, it should not be reported as fact. Zarkonite (talk) 03:25, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The IMG Media information is false and has no evidence to back it up, to the contrary IMG Media has in fact no announcements in their press release section of either signing Arthur Kade or developing a new show with him. Also, the reference for the quote is from Arthur Kade himself and is simply gossip. It should be removed as it violates Wikipedia's rules Zarkonite (talk) 03:25, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is no record of Arthur Kade having been a financial planner. The reference points to an article quoting Kade himself. This is part of his self-promotion act. Zarkonite (talk) 03:25, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Zarkonite, summing up, you seem to want proof that Kade was employed by American Express/Ameriprise and that he has some sort of development deal going with IMG. Wikipedia doesn't "prove" things, it reports what reliable sources have published. Policy Wikipedia:Verifiability states:
The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—what counts is whether readers can verify that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source (see Wikipedia:Verifiability#Reliable sources), not whether editors think it is true.
"Reliable sources" means in part "...reliable, third-party, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy." The material you are disputing was published by Philadelphia Magazine and the Philadelphia Inquirer, both reliable sources, and that's all it takes for inclusion here. I've put a "Welcome" template on your user page to help you become more familiar with Wikipedia policies, not denying that some may seem strange at first. --CliffC (talk) 13:50, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
P.S. If you want to be more comfortable with Kade's employment history, Google
"Arthur Kadyshes" Ameriprise
and you'll get several hits, the most convincing on Ameriprise's own website, http://www.ameripriseadvisors.com/sitemap.htm
--CliffC (talk) 13:50, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I would actually use that google result page as a sign that he was not but you seem hellbent on creating content for the sake of creating content so I won't argue any further. Please refer to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources as my reason to disagree with your sources. You have an individual who is actively playing the media and using gossip papers to create references to himself and you're simply not interested in finding the truth. IE: "While the reporting of rumors has a news value, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and should only include information verified by reliable sources. Wikipedia is not the place for passing along gossip and rumors." Zarkonite (talk) 18:30, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I see that you ignored my comments about IMG. I work in advertising and I assure you that it's standard business practice to produce a press release whenever any celebrity is signed to develop a show and Arthur Kade or Kadyshes is not signed with IMG Media (who by the way is the media arm of IMG, not the production arm, so it's ridiculous to claim IMG Media is actually producing a show. Glassman Media is the company producing for IMG; other branches include IMG Sports & IMG Corporate Films & Commercials. How likely does this "fact" sound to you?) Zarkonite (talk) 18:30, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm sure you know more about this industry than I do, but the problem is that a principle this encyclopedia is built on is writing based on reliable sources. The cited article flat out says "Entertainment powerhouse IMG Media says it is developing a reality-TV project based on the life of Center City's Arthur Kade, ..." Maybe this is wrong. You could likely convince me that you're right. But at the end of the day we have your word against what was published in a newspaper with writers and editors and such. Our hands our tied when it comes down to your logic against what was actually published.--Cube lurker (talk) 18:47, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kade persona edit

Granted that Mr Kadyshes is a real person, but is there any confirmation that his absurd Arthur Kade persona is real rather than a spoof or art project? Centrepull (talk) 07:31, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deletion edit

Kade's relevance is not apparent. There are no quantifiable or verifiable acheivements. Extant article is all based on heresay and gossip, most of which was culled from subject's website. If the individual is a performance artist, some documentation of this is required. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Davmpls (talkcontribs) 19:56, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Arthur Kade was closed with "No consensus" back in June 2009. Are you proposing a new AfD discussion? If so, make the nomination. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:51, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Photo needs to be removed/replaced edit

Hello,

My photo is on the Arthur Kade wikipedia. I am unaffiliated with Kade and my photo should not be there. Can it be removed, or can I be cropped out of it?

An acquaintance edited the page and added this photo years ago as a practical joke -- but only now am I being impacted by it.

Thank you!
