There is a suggestion that this article may have been cut and pasted from elsewhere. It is much more likely that other sites have cut and pasted this article, and added them to their own sites. Most of the article was written from my own personal knowledge and experience - hence there are also no citations. My sister went to school with Arthur Brough's daughter, and I often accompanied my mother to his repertory theatre in Folkestone, where she had a season ticket for many years. It was natural enough therefore for me to learn about his life and follow his career. It is true that there are quotes from his fellow performers about his work and personality, but such quotes are of course in the public domain.
