The "new" Arthur andersen

since 15 January I have seen several edit on this article made by French IP 85.68.194.160 which explain that Arthur Andersen restarted in 2015 with a new model. I do however not know to which extent this "new" Arthur Andersen apparently founded by two French lawyers, from which one is a former Arthur Andersen employee, represents the legacy of the former international audit and consulting firm. In that respect I notice that AA core business was accounting and auditing, not legal consulting. I am waiting for more information about this "new" Arthur Andersen firm and until I get them I will bring the article back to its state of end 2014. --Lebob (talk) 13:41, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

I found a recent french article about this here. If google translate reads this right, it is five people and a lot of member offices. Someone recently has been trying to change the website on this article to this restarted firm's website arthurandersennetwork.com Richard-of-Earth (talk) 21:17, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
I am still not yet willing to write prose about it (I take forever just to write comments), but the French Arthur Andersen is engaged in lawsuits over the name. News: [1] [2] [3] Richard-of-Earth (talk) 20:37, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

misleading lede

On 2017-11-26 the last sentence of the lede read, "The former consultancy and outsourcing arm of the firm, now known as Accenture, which had separated from the accountancy side in 1987 and renamed themselves after splitting from Andersen Worldwide in 2000, continues to operate and had become one of the largest multinational corporations in the world until 2002."

I had to read that last sentence carefully to understand it: "had become one of the largest multinational corporations in the world" sounded like they still are. Of course, they are not. I'm moving that phrase to earlier in the lede to reduce this confusion. DavidMCEddy (talk) 18:36, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
