In other clubs there is a place for the Runners Up. See Everton for an example.

That Everton one looks a bit bloated. For example, why do they need to list all their Liverpool Senior Cup wins? They are a successful club and don't need to pad out their trophy haul with minor trophies and second places, same goes for Arsenal. Spurs on the other hand... Honours

The Mercantile Credit Centre Trophy & The Southern Professional Floodlight Cup are not major honours. We do not need to pad our our history with the likes of these 'trophies.' Both should be removed with honours remaining as the recognised big ones (League, FA Cup, League Cup, Community/Charity Shield — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.254.146.36 (talk) 15:57, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

You could either move them to a new section for minor honours or you could remove them completely. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:41, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Removed them as they are not even mentioned on the clubs website as honours. Emmanuel Frimpong

"Needs to be officially recognized by FIFA"? Which one? His switch? If so, then yes, that is why I said he already officially switched allegiance. Refer to the international career section on his page. Therefore, his nationality on this page should be Ghanaian. Mas y mas (talk) 20:14, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

I'm not disputing that he has stated the change. It's even got a RS: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/nov/28/emmanuel-frimpong-national-ghana-england . However, that's not how the football project has worked in the past. When a player states that he has changed allegiances, and he even trains with them, it's not recognized until he is actually capped for the nation. Please address at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:19, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
A player merely stating that they've switched allegiance (and even training with them as well) doesn't really mean that FIFA has given them the green light to do so. Therefore this policy in the football project is quite understandable. However, in Frimpong's case, it was reported that FIFA had already cleared him. This makes his FIFA nationality Ghanaian and if I'm not mistaken, also makes him ineligible to play for England even if he never gets capped for Ghana. Therefore, his nationality on here should reflect this change. Mas y mas (talk) 21:42, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

It's been all over arsenal.com that Mesut Ozil has signed and will be wearing the No.11 shirt for the season. Any reason why it can't be confirmed on here yet? Its been confirmed also that Viviano will don the No.13 squad number during his loan period. Elsewhere regarding the Academy, Josh Vickers (Academy GK) is now back with the club after his short spell with non-league Canvey Island. Proof of that is on arsenal.com after he played on Saturday 30th August for the U18 vs. Sunderland. [1] Also does any person have any update on the whereabouts of Bolivian Midfielder Samuel Galindo; last went on loan to Club Jorge Wilstermann back in February. The source in that section and the list of players who have won the award seem to be different. The source says Arteta was the Player of the Year of 2013, but according to the official data, Cazorla 'received 55.7 per cent of the votes' and won the Player of the Season award. It is a bit confusing because they seem to be two different awards. Arsenal holds official partnerships with Danish brewers Carlsberg, French carmakers Citroên and Italian home appliances firm Indesit, along with regional betting partnerships with Bodog (Asia) and Paddy Power (UK, Ireland and Italy). Arsenal also works with Imperial Bank, MBNA, Sterling Bank, Indian telecommunications firm Airtel, Indonesia’s largest mobile phone network Telkomsel and offers the Arsenal Soccer Schools youth development program via India On Track.

Location

At election-maps.co.uk, it's quite clear that both the Arsenal Stadium and Emirates Stadium are in the Highbury West ward of Islington Borough council. I'm wondering why, then this article locates the club in Holloway, which has wards nearby. Ian Eiloart (talk) 14:23, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

I have asked several times for this to be corrected. It was eventually corrected, but now appears incorrect again. Gedion Zelalem Nationality

Gedion Zelalem's nationality is listed as German, which until as of yesterday, 12/30/14, Was true. He has officially been accepted as a United States Citizen after completing the citizenship process, making him an American citizen and the first American soccer player on the Arsenal roster. First off, Zelalem is not the first American player on Arsenal. Frank Simek and Daniel Karbassiyoon are the first two Americans. Because he has played for Germany at youth level and that was the last time he played international representative football, he is classed as German until such time as he represents the USA internationally. I think it's not a one time switch, since he never played for Germany in a FIFA sanctioned competition. But the point is: That rule, should be changed. He already declared himself for US, was cleared to play and was called to US U20 squad that will play in FIFA U20 WC. I mean, it's clear that in a few days he'll become a american international. What is the point in keep pretending that he's still a german international? We gonna wait some few days to find out something we know by now. I really don't see the point.--SirEdimon (talk) 00:16, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

Colours section

Contradicting popular belief, Arsenal probably never wore the famous "redcurrant" kit. Admittedly, the 2005/06 redcurrant kit was elegant, but it's historically inaccurate. The first kits Arsenal wore look like a very dark shade of red because of the emulsions used in black and white photographs. The kits that Forest reportedly gave them were the same shade of "Garibaldi" red (actually, just a pretty normal shade of red) that they wore. And even that part of the story may not be entirely true. Nevertheless, it's a fact that Arsenal never wore a "redcurrant" kit, but the team did wore a (much more common) shade of red. (Mark Andrews & Andy Kelly, http://thearsenalhistory.com/) (http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Arsenal/Arsenal.htm)

Additionally, Arsenal wore hooped navy and white socks with their home kit for the first time in 1935; just two years after they adopted their iconic white sleeves. Their first pair of socks was black, similar to most other teams of the era (white or light coloured socks became available until the late 1950s). I think that a correction is necessary, and I would appreciate if someone could find more sources, and if the edition is approved, edit the graphic to show an approximation of the first kit the Gunners really wore. 189.152.168.19 (talk) 06:58, 30 May 2015 (UTC)

Potential Intro edit war.

Should you wish to make big changes to Arsenal F.C.'s led, comment on WP:FOOTY or on the article's talkpage. Do not revert, as the article is FA standard.

  • "most notably claiming the third most Twitter followers", is WP:POINTLESS and doesn't need to be in the lead. Most notably to whom?
  • "second highest earning stadium", what does that mean? It should be hypenated too.
  • "...since the 16 match-shorter inaugural Football League season saw Preston North End do it 115 years before", awful grammar.
  • ". WWII ended the run of this Arsenal team", World War Two
  • "...FA Cup and 2 more Championships after the" spell two out
  • "and a season of Invincibles", what?

It reads clunky, which means the article falls in line of WP:FAR. Wikipedia's style guide doesn't accept clubs as collective nouns -- that's the team. If you want to change it, you may as well tidy up Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, because they all use 'is'. Footballistically (talk) 10:49, 1 June 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Madshurtie (talkcontribs)

I feel like a full revert is undoing useful changes.

From old version:

  • "Arsenal's success has been particularly consistent", vague and not exactly NPOV
  • "Since neighbouring Tottenham Hotspur," clunky
  • "The club was named the fifth most valuable association football club in the world, valued at £1.3 billion in 2014." Now out of date

New improvements:

  • "decorated" is more precise and neutral than "successful"
  • Since Arsenal fell in the Forbes ranking, it possibly fails intro notability, so I shortened it and rolled it in with stadium earnings and support.
  • Total number of trophies is notable and useful. It should be included.
  • The record time in the top flight had no citation. It needs one.
  • "After a lean period in the post-war years they won the League and FA Cup Double, in the 1970–71 season, and in the 1990s and first decade of the 21st century, won two more Doubles and reached the 2006 UEFA Champions League Final." vs. "WWII ended the run of this Arsenal team, and claimed the lives of more Arsenal players than any other club.[10] Although the club won an FA Cup and 2 more Championships after the war, they then suffered a long dry period until 1989; the most notable interruption being the 1970–71 Double. Since, under George Graham and Arsène Wenger, Arsenal have seen a run of 5 League titles, 7 FA Cups, two Doubles, a Champions League Final, and a season of Invincibles." WWII is major part of Arsenal history and should be included in the intro, especially since it is a juncture in the success/trophy drought narrative. 1970-71 wasn't really the end of the dry period, since there was long dry period in the 80s and 90s; describing it as an interruption is helpful. Is the Champions League final really one of two notable 90s/2000s successes? The Invincibles is more famous, and mentioning the run of trophies also fits into the 30-50s trophies --> 3 dry decades --> modern trophies narrative of the club.

As for your criticisms:

  • I don't know if you're aware of how it's done, but data estimating football support is really uncertain and flawed. Social media following is the most precise number available, and Arsenal are third in Twitter followers, which makes it the most notable. This is also why I said 'most notably'. The Times citation in the lead isn't the best source of numbers these days. Just reword, don't scrap.
  • The Emirates earns the second most per matchday, on average, out of every FC stadium in the world. If you prefer the wording, this could be 'the second highest matchday revenue'.
  • The new wording of the Invincibles season is more concise, and more precise about the number of matches. It's actually the result of several back and forths over that sentence, but I agree it's not perfect.
  • WWII can be spelt out
  • "And a season of Invincibles." I agree. I was trying to be concise, and couldn't be bothered to think up better wording.
  • I wasn't spelling out numbers because large numbers weren't being spelt out and it seemed more consistent. But we can spell small numbers out.
  • The old article is inconsistent over use of singular/plural. The new one created a consistency that the revert undermines. If you want singular, change every verb, don't revert to the inconsistent version. Anyway, WP seems completely unclear on collective nouns with football clubs, and if you look at the pages you have cited, you'll see they are completely inconsistent too. Chelsea, in particular, appears to be mostly plural. British newspaper style guides generally treat the club as a collective institution that is plural. I notice also that you have been rebuked by other editors in the past for introducing singular. If you disagree, use a clear authority, and CHANGE EVERY VERB. I can also try to tidy up the other teams.

I hate edit wars, but if it's OK, I will bring in the new article and immediately make changes to accommodate each of your criticisms. Featured articles should be at the highest standard possible, and this one can be improved.

It takes more than just you and one other editor to form a consensus on making such big changes to such a long-standing article. I oppose your changes. Please wait for other editors to join the discussion. There is, after all, no WP:DEADLINE. The Rambling Man (talk) 14:40, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
Do you have reasons for opposing the changes? If you merely don't like it because of the amount changed, is it not still worth keeping the improvements until specific criticisms are raised? It does solve some problems with the old one. Madshurtie (talk) 14:48, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
I should also add here that the scale of change is actually a bit confusing, since Footballistically brought in an edited version of a much older version. There have been changes in between that he lost that my version incorporated. I wonder if you might be being almost as disruptive as I was, since your revert brings back some text abandoned a while ago. Much of the intro text was actually what I wrote over previous years, and I was merely trying to improve my own contribution. Madshurtie (talk) 14:59, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

Reserve/Under 21 Squad

Hello all,

Thinking we can do something with the Reserve Squad? Other pages like Chelsea FC show reserve players... We could add those who have made appearances for the under 21's and use the squad number based on Arsenal.com?

I know we use the UEFA reserve squad, but this does not cover many players who play regularly but not registered..

What do you think?

Founder of Arsenal Football Club

There is no mention in this article of David Danskin, who founded Arsenal FC. I am aware he is mentioned on the "History of Arsenal F.C. (1886–1966)" article however I believe its very important to mention him in the history section of this article as it's the main page on Arsenal FC.

Footieedit (talk) 21:35, 05 September 2015 (UTC)

Ridiculous honours page

Who added all these regional and reserve trophies to the club's trophy haul? This is a farce and isnt corroborated by the club (http://www.arsenal.com/first-team/honours), UEFA (http://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/teams/club=52280/profile/) or FIFA as well as the link to the most successful clubs at the top of the page! This is not to deny arsenal havent physically won those "trophies" but they do not count as honours by any credible source and unless someone can provide evidence to the countrary, then they will be removed. Wikipedia is supposed to represent factual and accepted information, and these "honours" dont fall in either category. Davefelmer (talk) 17:13, 19 September 2015 (UTC)

It's unsurprising that competitions that now no longer exist, were ceremonial, or ran in the early years of a sport, may not be listed on a website. The website does not claim to be exhaustive encyclopaedic archive of results, however an exhaustive encyclopaedia of Arsenal may list those honours which is what wikipedia is reflecting. Arsenal.com and UEFA.com are rarely used as sources for anything at all as they typically only refer in very current terms. For instance Arsenal.com does not list any Premier League tables prior to 2005/06, should we not be listing those on wikipedia either? They also do not mention any other manager than Arsene Wenger, so should George Graham's results be deleted? I also can't find any corroborating sources on arsenal.com or uefa.com to tell me how many games Ian Wright played in 1993, so do we blank his career stats? That's not to deny George and Ian didn't manage or play any of those "games"... etc etc ad infinitm ad absurdum. Koncorde (talk) 20:51, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
Davefelmer (talk) 18:33, 23 September 2015 (UTC)UEFA is the governing body of Europe, FIFA of the world and the club website documents club triumphs, none of these show these awards as "honours" thus there is no basis for them. Any media outlet, whether it be a credible newspaper or site, does not attribute these as honours either. Indeed, the only source to credit this is arsenal fan blogs that "researched" this. This does not constitute a reliable source as per wiki policy. All clubs have won tiny local tournaments but none list them as honours because they do not count as such (national competitions only. Indeed they were never mentioned on this page until this summer, and they should be removed. They do not reflect the Arsenal trophy cabinet in an official or perceptual capacity.
Circular argument. You are professing that only certain sources are suitable, yet it can be demonstrated that those sources are not a comprehensive list or source of historical data. The status of a competition as retired, or re-defined as a reserve competition does not change the accuracy of the article. With regards to the source, you could use Bernard Joy's "Forward, Arsenal!", Bruce Smiths "Highbury: The Story of Arsenal Stadium" or any number of other sources such as Arsenal.coms player profiles such as Fred Clarke. Also calling the website a blog does it a disservice as it is clearly a little more than that, and the two individuals involved have been recognised as "Arsenal historians" by the club itself and used as sources for "The Life and Times of Herbert Chapman" by Patrick Barley. Koncorde (talk) 00:51, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Davefelmer (talk) 18:19, 24 September 2015 (UTC)There really is no circular argumment here. Retired competitions do not mean they are not recognised. The UEFA Cup Winners Cup has been retired yet it is still recognised by the relvant clubs and footballing bodies. Likewise competitions like the Intercontinental Cup and Fairs Cup (which Arsenal have won). The rest is pure denial. When the governing body of world football, the governing body of European football and the club itself do not recognise a trophy as an honour, then it cannot be attributed to the club as one. This is corroborated by any other media site. I ask you to find me ONE mainstream media site or newspaper that attributes these awards as Arsenal "honours". You will not find a single one. There is not a shred of credibility to attaching these as honours aside from the fact that you can prove Arsenal won them in the past. Again though, this isnt saying arsenal havent won said awards but that they do not count as honours, hence NOT A SINGLE arsenal honours table by ANYONE will include them. Thus there is no basis for them on the page.
Again, circular argument where you are asking an encyclopaedia of knowledge to not include that knowledge because other non-encyclopaedias don't list that information. Again, circular argument where you seem intent on creating a distinction between "honour" and "award" as if prestige is even a factor in defining what is an honour. Again, circular argument where you assume that these titles were not referred to as honours because you have not actually bothered to look ( the honours table in Bernard Joys book specifically includes the Combinations Title, Cup Competition, and various intermediate cups). Again, circular logic as you keep referring to FIFA and UEFA, yet UEFAs website does not even have an entry for Wrexham football club (but it does for Wrexham LFC, the womens team, and its Futsal team). Meanwhile it's Wigan Athletic page has not been updated since 2012/13 and makes zero mention of their FA Cup win, while its West Ham page doesn't list any domestic titles at all (not division, not cup). FIFA's website is equally lacking in detail. They are clearly far from exhaustive website and more interested in their own competitions - so how can you hold them up as examples? Same with Arsenal.com - it is far from a comprehensive enclopedia. Even the FA's own website doesn't list all the historic detail for every club - but it does list the FA Sunday Cup, FA Inter League and the FA Vase amongst other competitions that I am almost certain get very limited coverage by UEFA and FIFA but are just as much an "Honour" to win (similarly the Full Members Cup and much derided Football League Super Cup). In contrast, Crystal Palace make direct reference to their "London Challenge Cup" honours.
Your point is laboured and built around removing content based on your own special criteria. Unless you have specific evidence to suggest the source used is inaccurate, then recording the facts of titles won, however minor or historic that they now are, is about as encyclopaedic as you can be. Koncorde (talk) 19:09, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Davefelmer (talk) 04:06, 26 September 2015 (UTC)are you implying that every club should list any and all awards they have? Even though it is not corroborated by ANYONE? What book are you referring to that lists them? Send a link. Unless YOU have proof of any credible neutral source attributing these things as part of Arsenal's trophy haul, you cant publish the information. Even discounting FIFA or UEFA, the club doesnt list them, the link ON THE SAME PAGE doesnt list them and no media site lists them. You seem to just be dismissing every footballing body and with no proof of a published honours count listing those trophies, want them included. It is not a case of you publish rubbish and people have to prove it wrong, you must provide clear evidence to include new information on a page. An ARSENAL SUPPORTERS FAN SITE is firstly not in any way reliable and secondly it is merely recording information of something Arsenal won 100 years ago. It in no way, shape or form says that the awards implied consistute trophies that are counted by the club, a governing body or fans.
I am implying that I am not about to remove statements of fact from a webpage that are sourced unless there is a good reason to do so, which your subjective opinion of what qualifies as an honour isn't one, or your opinion of why the Historic Society are unreliable when they are used as a source by several books. I have also mentioned the books titles and authors for you to look up and get out of a library somewhere perhaps. If I was able to do that modicum of research despite having absolutely no interest in what regional trophy Arsenal won in 1953 then so should you if you are going to go around expressing your uninformed opinion. Koncorde (talk) 08:29, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Davefelmer (talk) 17:09, 26 September 2015 (UTC)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources#Questionable_sources

I think you better read thw above on reliable sourcing. Firstly, some of the "sources" link to a history of Corinthinians football club, which has no relevance here. Secondly, others acknowledge that the club won said awards before going profesional, making them semi-proffesional awards which in any case cannot be included with profesional honours. It is not my opinion of what an honour is, more so, it is YOURS because you have published Arsenal fan blogs' information that doesnt include a trophy haul and that doesnt prove they constitue honours. In no place does it even say that and not FIFA, UEFA or the club corroborate it. Unless you can provide a sourced honours table with those listed on it, the information will be removed. Sources arent reliable, information not corrborated by neutral, mainstream third party sources.

As for your book, I've never heard of it and if it does provide reliable sourcing, it is up to YOU to find it, not me to look for it! Your ignorance is astounding.

The kits

Can somebody please improve these kits please? Because I don't know how. The home shirt should not have a white line down the side and should have darker red hoops, the shorts are missing the red blocks on the insides of the shorts at the bottom, and the socks are missing the gold line at the top. The away kit is the wrong colour, it should be gold (something like #D2B55B or #D4AF37), and the away shorts are missing the gold line down the side as well as the golden blocks on the insides of the shorts at the bottom, meanwhile the away socks are missing the gold line at the top. The third kit socks are missing the gold line at the top as well. The kits for last season were much better, in fact they were perfect, but these ones are pretty inaccurate especially the away kit being the complete wrong colour. Thanks. Hashim-afc (talk) 17:03, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks to whoever improved these kits, they look a lot better now. All that's missing now is the gold line on the top of the socks on all three kits, and the darker red hoops on the home shirt, as well as the navy blue line under the sleeves and the navy blue flap at the bottom of the shirt on the gold away kit. Hashim-afc (talk) 01:05, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Friendly an honour?

Why is there a friendly tournament added to the honours haul? Friendlies are not honours in any way, shape or form. Also, the actual honours section should be re-organised. Multiple editors have already taken issue with the fact that so many ridiculous awards have been added to the honours haul. The sources, while (mostly) confirming arsenal won them, do not ever specifically state they are honours. Any Arsenal trophy haul listed anywhere refers, at most, to the 41 domestic and 2 European trophies listed in the intro, for anything else to be added as an honour, it should need to be deemed that by a source, which none of the lower half of the domestic awards (post Charity Shield) are. If not removed since they technically were won, they should be moved to a 'minor' or 'other' section since wikipedia is not a platform to speculate that something is an honour or not, unless it is said to be one, it cant be included in an honours haul. Carl Jenkinson

FYI - Jenko has injured knee ligaments and returned to the club for rehab. I have consequently re-added him to the squad list and added two sources explaining the change. Eightball (talk) 17:26, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

As far as I am concerned, Jenkinson is not listed as an Arsenal player on the website while he is still listed as a West Ham player. Therefore he is a West Ham player still on loan. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 01:22, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

What is the point of listing non-official trophies and training tournaments alongside official trophies recognized by The FA, UEFA and FIFA?

The question pretty much speaks for itself. I thought that there was a well-estabslihed rule on Wiipedia, in particularly when it comes to the biggest and most historic football clubs, that unofficial trophies are not to be included on the main page? This is more or less the consensus on every other Wikipedia page that deals with the most successful football clubs.

@Qed237:

--PerelmanMorales (talk) 14:47, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

@Sport and politics: as you can see here, I have already created a topic about this on the talk page. I can see that others have voiced the exact same criticism. The fact remains the same. He is going against a well-established consensus in this regard and is a biased party. He also ignored the talk page and instead of taking the decision he has reported me. Quite pathetic.

--PerelmanMorales (talk) 15:09, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Please show an existing discussion or existing concluded discussion where the outcome demonstrates the consensus being claimed. This talk page has discussed this issue and has erred on the side of inclusion in its consensus. Sport and politics (talk) 15:10, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Well, first of all I can just refer to practically every other Wikipedia page about clubs from the Premier League or other big/historical clubs across Europe. None of those have included training tournaments and unofficial trophies (trophies not recognized by The FA, UEFA or FIFA) on their main page. This page is practically the only one that is the exception. It makes no sense for it to be so.

This page, which deals with football records in England, also makes the same distinction.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_records_in_England

More interestingly, not even the Arsenal webpage lists those training tournaments in their honours list.

http://www.arsenal.com/first-team/honours

It's fair to say that I have a VERY strong case here. I intend to take this case to the highest circles here as I am convinced about the logic of not including those unofficial trophies and training tournaments on the main page.

--PerelmanMorales (talk) 15:15, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Still no consensus has been provided and you keep on edit warring. Qed237 (talk) 15:36, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

The above are not discussions and also please thoroughly read the following WP:consensus and WP:IDONTLIKEIT, neither of the above links are constructive additions. Wikipedia allows for local cons:ensus to be established by discussion, this has occurred here. Simply waving things around and jumping about saying "FIFA, FA, UEFA.", does not further this discussion. This page also does not have runners up listed, should we include those because that is done in other articles. No that would be silly. A discussion should take place with actual substance on the issues. The same is the case here. Please give actual reasons on the issue and not on users.
It is pretty simple in my opinion as to why this information should be included. The information is independently and reliably sourced in its own right and therefor has notability in its own right. The information adds value to the article by demonstrating the depth of history the club has, and aids in completeness. There is also no clear definition of what should and should not be included, as some of these tournaments from the early days of football were important to clubs as there were no international competitions and league seasons were shorter. An example where the exclusion argument falls down is the Fairs Cup, this was not a recognised UEFA tournament yet its inclusion is not in question, rendering the recognition plank as subjective at best and a straw-man at worse. Sport and politics (talk) 15:38, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Excuse me, did I not just provide a primary source (Arsenal's own webpage) and the "Football records in England" page? How about the fact that 95% of all pages that deal with football clubs on Wikipedia (European ones at least) do not include training tournaments and unofficial trophies? Or how about that being the case on 99% of all pages dealing with top clubs/historical clubs on Wikipedia?

The Inter-Fairs Cities Cup is recognized by FIFA. UEFA themselves recognize it as the predecessor of the UEFA Cup. You cannot compare it with long extinct training tournaments or friendly tournaments which have never been recognized by The FA, UEFA or FIFA.

Let's just assume that the facts that I have mentioned are somehow irrelevant (hard to believe) but if you are right, then why has no other top club, including English ones, not included training tournaments and friendlies on their MAIN page? What does it tell you when Arsenal's very own homepage does not include those same training tournaments and other unofficial trophies?

What is next? Including summer friendlies on the main page? I am far from the only one who has voiced criticism in this regard. You can't just dismiss it by saying that there is no consensus while that is incorrect when you actually take a look at other Wikipedia pages.

But it seems that I am dealing with biased Arsenal fans who are engaging in "trophy" inflation by adding 100 year old training tournaments that nobody has hardly heard about and which are not even recognized by The FA, UEFA or FIFA alongside official honours. It seems that I am wasting my time here as even the Arsenal webpage is in agreement with me here.

--PerelmanMorales (talk) 16:05, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

None of the above from PerelmanMorales demonstrates any form of consensus in any way. A closer look at this source debunks the "Arsenal webpage" myth. I also suggest reading this article from UEFA on the history of the Europa League here which lays out when UEFA took over the competition in question. Sport and politics (talk) 16:36, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Are you joking? Read your own link! It clearly says "pre-season friendly tournaments". What I linked to are the official honours that Arsenal FC themselves list on their very own webpage. Could you possible be more pedantic and biased?

I don't know what you are talking about in your second sentence.

--PerelmanMorales (talk) 16:52, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Also why in the good world are you deleting my most recent edits which have been made to make a necessary distinction between official honours, pre-season friendlies and unofficial honours, without deleting any honours from the current list?

I think that we need an unbiased moderator here to take action. Arsenal fans editing their own page are clearly not objective in this case. This is getting beyond ridiculous, frankly
