Talk:Archibald Archer

I'm troubled by the claim that he died in London. Certainly there was a cablegram from London announcing his death, but there was no statement that he died in London. His probate has him living in Norway at the time of his death and various entries on Ancestry.com put his death in Norway. Kerry (talk) 07:20, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have gone to the Queensland State Archives and looked at the probate file. Numerous documents within confirm that he died on 6 Feb 1902 at Tolderedden, Larvik, Norway. The file included a Dodsanmelda (Norwegian death certificate) plus an English translation of it (presumably the Queensland courts required that). I also note that there is no death index for him in the UK, which you would expect to find if he had died there. Kerry (talk) 07:38, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
