"Aradenites" vs. Aradenaye edit

The people do not consider themselve "Aradenites" they would like to be called "Ardenayeh." For example: Latinos is a Hispanic phrase and was not translated into English. That is what they would like to be called. Out of respect for the people of Araden, call them what they would like and stop trying to change everything into proper English.

Are there any references that use "Aradenites" and can confirm that's the proper noun? Why isn't it Aradeni, Aradenian, Aradenese, Aradenish, etc.? --334 13:38, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

There is no english equivlance. It doesn't make sense. That is why we should put it as it stated in its original language; Aradnaye. Chaldean 15:19, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's exactly what I was thinking. --334 17:18, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please read this before reverting again. English Suffixes

First of all Aradeni wouldn't work because -i is not an English suffix. Aradenese or Aradenian wouldn't work because -ese or -ian refer to nationals or ethnic groups. However, the suffix -ite is appropriate because it refers to groups of people in a smaller sense. Please take an English course before doing something like this again.סרגון יוחנא 16:59, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your not getting the point. There is no English equivlance that exist. So we say the word in its original language with italics indicating its not english. Chaldean 17:53, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Iraqi isn't English? Torontonian is an ethnic group? I'd rather have a non-English word in italics (which is common practice) than a made-up or questionable word.

Again, are there any reliable sources which use "Aradenites"? --334 21:53, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

The more and more I know my people... edit

Why exactly do you want to distance yourself from "us people"? The reason why people separate from others is because of miniscule differing opinions? Is Aradenaye in place of "Aradenites" (which has yet to be proven a word in the English language) not logical? --334 02:22, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
