Information will change edit

Most of my information is comming from KCRA Channel 3, in Sacramento. According to them the fire started at the Seneca Pond Recreation Area. Total of 275 structures lost as of June 28th. Time of fire start is recorded as 2:10...but that's splitting hairs.--Amadscientist 10:36, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The problem with using news websites for citiation edit

They may not stay up for more than a few weeks at best in most cases. Many news websites remove their stories after a short time. Btter to cite a news paper page or magazine article in current events or semi permanent published websites.--Amadscientist 21:16, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cause of Fire edit

I think it's been determined the fire was caused by an illegal campfire. We should change the infobox accordingly. Julian Maestas 17:12, 30 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Although two local witnesses on site at the time of the fire say the U.S. Forest Service accidentally started the Angora fire. The Tahoe Mountain News reported the names of one of the witnesses, Ethan Niven. Robert Stiles who spoke to the boy one evening at the presentation of a flag he had created to commemorate the event verified his story. Why the cause of the fire was covered up is beyond me, said Stiles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.83.136.106 (talk) 17:36, 8 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Current event? edit

Is this fire still a current event? It's not in the news anymore, and even the article says the fire is expected to be fully controlled by July 10. It's past July 10. 75.63.18.59 01:01, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
