List of apps edit

At the moment Android Automotive only supports media and messaging apps that use audio. I know of few that do exist, like Spotify, YouTube music, Google Play Books (only audiobooks). But I know there is more than that. It is hard to know what is available without actually owning the car and seeing list of available apps, and I couldn't find a good source on the topic anywhere. I did find this short GIF on one website showing a list of few apps: https://www.xda-developers.com/google-expands-android-automotive-os-android-auto-support-car-manufacturers-developers/ - It looks like the list is short: YouTube Music, Spotify, Google Maps, iHeartRadio, radio.net, Audioburst, Podcast Player, NPR One, Google Play Books, NRK Radio, Google Assistant, Sveriges Radio Play, Libby by Overdrive, ARD Audiothek, Pocket Casts, Radio France, myCANAL from CANAL+, Radioline. The article is from few months ago, and even then it is unclear if it was up to date. 2A02:168:2000:5B:1903:1E00:B3BB:B0DD (talk) 09:52, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Here is another short list: https://9to5google.com/2020/07/24/android-automotive-apps-polestar-2/ It additionally shows few other apps: Swedish Radio Play, Bauer Media Audio’s Magic Radio, Radioplayer — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:168:2000:5B:1903:1E00:B3BB:B0DD (talk) 09:56, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

I've added a permanent URL to the list of apps available to Android Automotive OS in the article: https://play.google.com/store/apps/streamchild/explore_all_apps_aae. This was provided to me directly by Polestar support. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dctbygeipvqk (talkcontribs) 17:02, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Page name change edit

Maybe trivial but, I think the page needs to be changed to Android Automotive OS as it is commonly referred to by Google and third-parties. Notahashtag (talk) 10:58, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

That's an unofficial name. The official one does not have "OS" in it. If anything, I'll create a redirect with that title, and add an "aka" notice in the lead. --uKER (talk) 15:44, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
