An edit that should be made to the page edit

Because of this page's temporary protected status, I cannot make the following reasonably important edit:

Subsequent to the 2020 British Columbia general election, Wilkinson announced his resignation as party leader on October 26, 2020; he will retain the post until the Liberal Party selects a new leader.[1]

Protected page indication edit

The page is apparently protected so that only administrators can edit it. I am wondering why there isn't a more obvious indication of this on the page, other than a missing "Edit" tab at the top of the page. -- Roger Hui (talk) 15:41, 25 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Shortest serving permanent BC Liberal leader in living memory edit

Having been elected as BC Liberal leader in 2018 and with his pending resignation following his defeat at the recent election, Wilkinson looks set to be the shortest serving BC Liberal leader in living memory.

Looked at leaders' list and there were a couple of permanent leaders I think who had served for a similar amount of time than Wilkinson but without working it out don't know whether Wilkinson had served longer or shorter time than them. 49.3.72.79 (talk) 02:58, 8 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Even if true, it's too trivial for inclusion. Mgasparin (talk) 08:29, 23 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Illiterate anonymous comments, even on talk pages, deserve nothing more than be ignored. Could this even be expunged from this page? MauriceYMichaud (talk) 23:29, 6 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
