The article needs attention. There are several places where it is unclear who is being referred to. Also the sentence "he read a letter on which he had been asked to advise" is ambiguous - who had been asked "to advise"? Had the constituent asked "for advice"? The result of the move request was: no consensus. Those in favor of the move seem to believe this is a case of WP:ONEEVENT, while others think Andrew Pennington is notable in his own right. I see no consensus here and I doubt relisting will help. AfD might be a better venue to evaluate whether an article on Pennington alone is justified. Andrew Pennington → Murder of Andrew Pennington – The article seems to be less about Pennington's biography and more about his murder. Given the content at hand, I think a rename would be an appropriate course of action here. Love of Corey (talk) 01:40, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

• Oppose unless and until there are two separate articles analogous to Jo Cox and Murder of Jo Cox. Andrew Pennington was an elected councillor who is sufficiently prominent historically to be the subject of a Wikipedia biographical entry in the same manner as others listed under Category:Councillors in Gloucestershire or Category:Liberal Democrats (UK) councillors. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 05:27, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
• Oppose - Pennington had some prominence in his own right and the proposed change would put more focus on the assailant. Also consider Miranda Grell; the page is about the individual councillor not the "Conviction of Miranda Grell". Nedrutland (talk) 06:45, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
• Weak support; Pennington fails WP:NPOLITICIAN, and all the independent coverage is of the attack and its aftermath, not of him in general.
