Age at first election as MP edit
The statement (below) about his being 7th oldest person elected to the Commons for the first time is somewhat out of date, as his name appears more than ten places down the list in the article United Kingdom general election records, due to older first-timer general election victors having been added to the list in meantime. It is also out of context as there have been older by-election victors, such as Sir Robert Pullar who was elected in 1907 aged 79 years (bar 6 days):
He won the seat in the Labour landslide at the 1945 general election with majority of 4,220 votes, becoming at age 67 the 7th-oldest 7th-oldest person elected to the Commons for the first time.
I am therefore deleting the reference to his age.Cloptonson (talk) 22:37, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
