Andrew Ellis (disambiguation)Andrew Ellis

  • Your apparently unilateral and undiscussed decision that the rugby player, which was located at Andrew Ellis until you moved it a few hours ago, is not the primary meaning, does not constitute an uncontroversial request. I have moved the rugby player back to Andrew Ellis. If you want to move the disambiguation page to Andrew Ellis, you should follow the directions for "Proposing multiple page moves", and propose that Andrew Ellis be renamed to Andrew Ellis (rugby union), and Andrew Ellis (disambiguation) be renamed to Andrew Ellis. • Oppose. Looking at the disambiguation page, the rugby union player (currently as Andrew Ellis) does appear to have more prominent than the others of that name. It's also worth noting that there is only one other article with the title Andrew Ellis – the others are at Andy Ellis. Jenks24 (talk) 10:35, 17 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
    • I moved it because I thought it would be uncontroversial. Would have moved the (dismbiguation) page too, but couldn't. I thought that pages generally should not feature the suffix '(disambiguation)' and this, being a common name (of which' Andy' is a variant) looked like a clear case where it was superfluous. pablo 11:00, 17 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. The current person at Andrew Ellis seems to be the more prominent and therefore suitable as the primary topic. Andrew Ellis (disambiguation) should stay at its current location. Mattlore (talk) 21:17, 20 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
