Exact retirement date edit
Blattmann's successor took office on January 1, but does that mean that Blattmann retired on December 31/January 1? These articles ([1][2], and the Swiss military[3]) show that Blattmann's retirement ceremony was held on December 8.

- In fact, I should also ask if Blattmann's retirement from Chief of the Armed Forces was synonymous with his retirement from the Swiss military? Is he fully retired from the Swiss military? --1990'sguy (talk) 23:16, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
