Excessive use of primary sources edit

This article makes claims about the interpretation and simply links to the primary sources but provides no source for whom makes the claims. For instance in the summary section, it says, "This sura warns against polytheism, saying that the pagan gods cannot create anything, and against comparisons between Allah and any created beings ([Qur'an 16:74]). It also praises Allah for giving the Earth with all its wealth to mankind. According to this sura, all wonders of the natural world, like seas, stars, mountains are proofs of God's infinite power.

The verse [Qur'an 16:103] addresses the allegations that Muhammad has invented the Quran."

The sura 16:74 link provided says, "YUSUFALI: Invent not similitudes for Allah: for Allah knoweth, and ye know not. PICKTHAL: So coin not similitudes for Allah. Lo! Allah knoweth; ye know not. SHAKIR: Therefore do not give likenesses to Allah; surely Allah knows and you do not know. "

In no way does that mention polytheism, nor mentions pagan gods at all. Pagan gods clearly pre-dated Allah and that Sura seems to be referring to new versions of Allah. The reference is thus dubious. The claim about Allah giving the earth its wealth etc etc isn't referenced what authority interprets this as being true.

The claim for sura 16:103 doesn't match the sources provided. The source simply comments that 'x' is written in "Arabic tongue" and the claim about "Muhammad has invented the Quran." isn't substantiated by that sura.

This is looking like WP:OR unless we have suitable secondary sources that interpret the sura in this way. Ttiotsw (talk) 18:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Misinformation present and corrected edit

This Surah recently went viral because of a tik-tok video: https://www.tiktok.com/@my_muslim_cousin/video/7279716114899242282

Which probably lead to increased traffic to this particular wiki page. Upon inspection, the incorrect Surah was publsihed here--specifically At-Tawba. Zjonessanchez1 (talk) 13:49, 30 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
