Fact vs. fiction edit

When I label the Book of Mormon as fiction, that is a statement of fact. It describes events that could not have happened in reality. It describes animals and technologies that did not exist in the Americas at the time of the alleged events. The fact that Mr. Smith "translated" it using a stone and a hat should throw up ENORMOUS red flags. Stop reverting my edit when I label it a work of fiction. Wikipedia's goal isn't to document the "truth", or what we believe the truth is. In controversial topics like religion, many different groups of people have different views on what the truth is. Instead, Wikipedia's goal is to explain how different people view the truth from a neutral point of view, merely reproducing the analysis of secondary sources, making no effort to publish our own conclusions. While you and I may believe it is fiction, it is not Wikipedia's purpose to state that it is fiction, as that would be a violation of our neutral point of view policy. Deletion discussion edit

I have to agree with the deletion nomination. If nothing else, the article is only a couple short sentences, and can fit on List of Book of Mormon people instead.
