Qernertuarssuit is mentioned as being a recently abandoned settlement. When I was last in East Greenland, which was 20 years ago, Qernertuarssuit was a small house occupied for the most part by a couple, who rented out floor space for visiting hunters and fishermen from the larger settlements nearby. I remember visiting it in the middle of winter and being surprised by the variations in temperature from -30c outside to close on +30c in the house. It may be that the house is still used, but now no longer is considered to be permanently occupied. --Dumbo1 16:24, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
