This article is essentially the same as the article Siege_of_Calais_(1348). It doesn't say when and where Amery was born, died, lived or anything about him except the part he played in the incident of Calais, and what happened to him afterwards. The trouble with stating in the article that nothing else is known about him is that just because I don't know anything else about him doesn't mean nothing else is known about him. Such a statement in an article text would also run afoul of WP:Verifiability, because it is an inherently unverifiable statement. I will add to this article as I am able, and I'm relatively certain other reliable sources exist, I just haven't had time to do further research yet. Is there any more information as to what became of Amery after his plan failed? I find it hard to believe that for selling a strategic fortress to the enemy during wartime, he would be punished by a mere heraldic abatement. Zacwill16 (talk) 00:32, 26 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I can find no record of Geoffrey de Charny having an English knighthood.
