Not Kanye West edit

The first track doesn't sample "Gold Digger," it samples a parody of the song. Someone needs to find the name of the parody and the performer and fix it.

It sure sounds like Kanye West's track. Why do you think otherwise? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acurrier (talkcontribs) 04:12, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Keeping this article edit

I'm not sure why this got tagged with a proposal for deletion. The given reason was "Non-notable internet release only album." The article makes a strong case for the noteworthyness of its subject and I don't see the channel by which it was released further affecting whether or not it merits an article. I actually own a professionally manfactured CD-R of this album labeled "For Promotional Use Only". So while it's main distribution was the internet, someone at some point paid to have physical copies produced. --Dewdude (talk) 03:51, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

In this case it might not belong in the case of the records but in the case of civil disobediences where American Edit DOES belong too. Like the Grey Album by DJ Danger Mouse the record must be listed to have all information about the change in the free culture movement! It is necessary to understand and know... so why shouldn't it be here? -- Anselm

YouTube links edit

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed, feel free to ask me on my talk page and I'll review it personally. Thanks. ---J.S (t|c) 04:33, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

American Edit 2008 Deluxe Edition edit

There's another release for this album that can be found on torrent sites. Songs added: "Can't Get A Life", "Country Basket", "I Like American Idiots", and "Greenday Triple Tracker". 210.24.109.91 (talk) 20:07, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

so why? edit

Why is this in the 'See also' part of the green day template. It's not official with green day or anything. We had the same problem with Jaydiohead which is now removed from the radiohead template.--213.83.125.225 (talk) 09:32, 23 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Location of songs edit

So I know all of the original American Edit songs (excl. Boulevard of Broken Songs and incl. I Like American Idiots) are available on SoundCloud and that Boulevard of Broken Songs is available on Youtube, but where are the other three tracks (Can't Get a Life, Country Basket, and Greenday Triple Tracker) available to listen? The links in the above post doesn't seem to be able to play the tracks. DeemDeem52 (talk) 01:06, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
