Proposed merge with Nova Scotia Paramedic Society edit

Merge proposed during AfD in 2013, but never enacted. Notability problems remain, merge seems best solution. Randykitty (talk) 13:39, 29 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

The problem with a merger is that AOANS was a group of ambulance business owners and/or a lobby group in Nova Scotia. The NSPS is a historical and research group that promotes the study, research and communication of the history of emergency health services. We are more like the Medical History Society of Nova Scotia[1] then it's counter part Doctors Nova Scotia[2] There is also the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia[3] that would be more like AOANS. I agree with JBignell. The Ambulance Operators Association was a group of business owners in past that ran ambulance services for profit. The Nova Scotia Paramedic Society is a current organization of practicing paramedics and physicians interested in patient care and research, not company owners interested in profit. Two very different organizations with 2 very different goals. 162.106.6.3 (talk) 03:11, 12 February 2015 (UTC)JCook162.106.6.3 (talk) 03:11, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
