Folks, please add an Armenian spelling in the article. Also, I would really appreciate if someone who has access to The Armenians by Anne Elizabeth Redgate, Toumanoff’s works or any other book on Armenian history could add more info on the family’s early history. I’m also moving the list of early Amatunis here because it seems to be very inaccurate. Thanks, KoberTalk 08:08, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reverted the article due to an edit war edit

I have rolled the article back to a July version that precedes the recent edit war. Please continue editing as usual from this point, put keep in mind that your changes should have consensus. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 19:33, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Twirpx external links edit

Can a Russian speaker check out the Twirpx source? I think this site does host some pirated content, so it would be helpful if someone could follow up and confirm whether this material compliant with our WP:LINKVIO policy. I didn't want to click on it myself, but if anyone else wants to check it out maybe we can resolve some part of the current dispute. Seraphim System (talk) 19:45, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Conflict in sources edit

In seeking to clean up some of the possible COPYVIO from Encyclopedia Iranica (I've only been able to trace the content as far back as 1985) I checked a few different sources and noticed there seems to be a significant conflict regarding their domain which in the 1906 Jewish Encyclopedia is placed in Yerevan and Gyumri [1] and by Encyclopedia Iranica as Van in present day Turkey [2]. JE says they were of Jewish origin and EI predictably says "Caspio-Median" and says they were given a "a spurious Jewish genealogy by Movsēs Xorenacʿi" Should both versions be noted in the absence of more authoritative sources?
