Question: should there be a hyphen in the song name? Many internet references seem to refer to it as "Alley-Oop" rather than "Alley Oop". BealBocht (talk) 23:22, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

I've often wondered if "mean motor scooter" was a euphemism for "mean mother fucker." "Mean motor scooter" by itself is meaningless, especially in relation to a caveman, but "motor" is close to "mother," and thus "motor scooter" sounds a bit like "mother fucker." I know people fretted about Louie Louie and other songs being secretly obscene during that time. Mebbe this was the real thing. user:PurpleChez
