All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh → AIIMS Rishikesh – Page move war, Let's put this way, no one knows what is All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh, at least 99 out of 100 people don't know! We have to use common name, AIIMS is how this hospital is referred. Just like no one knows what is Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn (DHL . – Bladesmulti (talk) 12:10, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

- Oppose - The name of the institution is All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh (see their website). If someone does not know what that is, then the title tells them with complete clarity. If anything, it would be the case that no one knows what AIIMS is, it quite opaque. All that is necessary is for the redirect from AIIMS Rishikesh to go to the full title and for the abbreviation to be included in the lead. Imc (talk) 21:41, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose - See Talk:MONUSCO#Requested move 2. I'm not very familiar with AIIMS, but that's not the main reason. I don't think this acronym is encyclopedic enough to be part of the title of the page. Commonality shouldn't be the only reason for it. In fact, AIIMS fails to be concise and recognizable outside India per WP:CRITERIA. --George Ho (talk) 14:09, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
