Players? edit

Hey i just scanned some of the team rosters, and id say at least a quarter of the players are playing in the CFL, AFL, or have moved on from football. Is this league going to steal the guys from the CFL, cause the probably won't be able to, or how is it going to get all these guys that are playing in other leagues? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.161.66.36 (talk) 06:28, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mid-Major Programs edit

Does anyone know why they might not have teams other than in East/Mid-West areas, such as in the Mountain West Conference (Utah, BYU, etc.)? 65.104.77.179 23:18, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Probably because the teams in the eastern U.S. have the biggest traditions, ie: Notre Dame, University of Alabama, and the University of Tennessee. AlaGuy 20:16, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Team pages. edit

I'm creating the teams pages. Just so you know. I got done with [[AAFL Team Florida|Team Florida] feel free to help me out. --Crash Underride 01:01, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Well, I just got done creating the pages for ALL the teams in the league. Hope everyone likes them. --Crash Underride 05:29, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Thanks for knocking that out, dude. I would've done it, but I, too, had "matters to attend to," if matters encompasses not knowing anything about HTML. I'm thinking about adding something for the coaching staffs. Also, I've started doing the players, but I'm using the active NFL player template, which is kind of ridiculous, but creating a template just for the AAFL is more insane. Any ideas?--NickLMcCallum (talk) 16:57, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • There is a {{Infobox Gridiron football person}} that is probably applicable to use for AAFL players. On a side note, a saw a request for deletion for an existing AAFL player's article (Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Rayshawn_Askew), so I have a feeling more may be nominated for deletion as not being notable (especially if they have not played in the NFL). If so, let me know and I'll do my best to defend keeping them. X96lee15 (talk) 17:20, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
      • That template is intimidatingly thorough, and should work fine. I had no idea there was such a concern for storage capacity. Is that the issue? Space? Crazy. I'm going to take five on this to re-group.--NickLMcCallum (talk) 20:31, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Template edit

Someone should crete a template like other leagues have, with the teams and links to league-related things like the draft. I'd do it myself, but I have "matters to tend to". --Tascha96 18:07, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ford Field law suit edit

I should be mentioned that Ford Field is suin' the league due to them cancelin' the '08 season. Here is the link, ESPN - Ford Field sues AAFL after league cancels first season - NFL. I don't know where I would put it cuz, it's not worthy of havin' a section of it's own but it should be in. Crash Underride 01:55, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
