vandalism edit

VANDALISM I'm sorry guys but I have deleted the all the text in the strory line sectoin as some vandal decided to make up a load of crap like you push the alien queen out of an airlock, aliens attack earth and the predators kill EVERYONE in the game. That is wrong. The alien is being tested but manages to escape and become the queen. The alien that as I just said became the NEW queen is called specimen 6. AS a human you fight loads of aliens, find your captain has been cacooned and empregnated with an alien and he asks you to kill him, which you do. then you burn up their PRIEVIOUS queen, NOT SPECIMEN SIX. Then your secretly android boss decides to not kill the aliens but to capture them . While this is happening you are saving your friend Tequila who has ben cacooned and impregnated with an alien. She asks you to kill her but then an android ( good one , not your boss) says she can get the alien out and save tequila. you get to the android but then your boss ( the bad android) shuts down the power so the good android puts tequila in cryrogenic sleep so she cans get the alien out later. The you go and shoot your boss in the head and he falls into some lava. The marine story is the longest. Whilst playing as predator you discover the humans have found a predator pyramid and attemting to exploit the predators technology so you go blow it up. If someone could please put this in story section I would be most greatful.Ask me for more details if you want. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.200.71.202 (talk) 09:51, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

First of all, incorrect details are not vandalism, merely errors. Second, the "Story" section doesn't say anything about "aliens attacking earth" or "predators killing everyone in the game". From your description above I believe you have this game confused with the new 2010 Aliens vs. Predator game for PC/PS3/Xbox 360. That game's story involves the Alien called "specimen 6", Katya, Tequile, and some of the other elements you've described above. This article is about a different game altogether: a PC-only game from 1999. It's quite easy to get these things confused, as both games were developed by Rebellion and there are many games in existence using the Alien vs. Predator title. For a complete list, see List of Alien and Predator games. --IllaZilla (talk) 11:36, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Oh crap dude. Sorry about that. You are right I was thinking about the 2010 version. Sorry —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.192.6.206 (talk) 16:15, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
No worries, it's an easy mistake to make :-) Happy editing! --IllaZilla (talk) 19:30, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Was it released for the Xbox 360 too or just became capable of accepting the controller as input on PCs and Macs? edit

What it says on the title. --TiagoTiago (talk) 00:13, 5 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

See the above section. I believe you have this game confused with the 2010 Aliens vs. Predator for Xbox 360/PS3/PC. This article is about a PC-only game released in 1999, 6 years before the Xbox 360 even existed. --IllaZilla (talk) 00:27, 5 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm talking about the updated re-release that waqs branded as "Classic 2000"; check the article. --TiagoTiago (talk) 17:07, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
It was still PC only, the Classic 2K just added controller support and a few compatibility tweaks Adycarter (talk) 10:44, 21 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved. No prejudice against a new RM to discuss whether it should be "versus" or "vs." for the 1999 game, but there was no consensus to change it this discussion. Jenks24 (talk) 14:30, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

– I don't think that the difference between "versus" and "vs." is enough to disambiguate the two articles to each other. Especially as both of them are spoken the same way. Armbrust The Homunculus 19:46, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Strong support per nom. The current titles should point to the list article (or alternately, creating an AvP disambiguation page) -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:28, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support vs/versus not distinctive. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:21, 26 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support with nom's rationale, but change 1999 game's "versus" to "vs." since that's what the (surviving) RS use[1][2] and also solves our uniformity problem   czar  02:57, 30 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

the article should list its engine edit

many game articles do and both sequel`s articles do so it is only fitting that this also lists what engine it is based on.84.212.111.156 (talk) 00:52, 19 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
