This is the same page as Alfredo Varela - the two should be merged and renamed Alfredo Varela Catala.

Agree The two screenwriters do seem to be the same person, and it seems reasonable to merge.

W.r.t to the novelist - if those pages that are incorrectly linking to either of the screenwriter entries then they could be replaced with this: Alfredo Varela (novelist) [es] which gives a redlink and makes it clear that there it is a separate person. (I didn't feel confident enough to do this myself)
