Katlanovos=Kruševo

Svolos was born in 1892 in Katlanovos (Greek: Κατλανόβως) (Modern Kruševo)

I am highly suspicious of the equasion Katlanovos= Kruševo. I found a Katlanovo (with no s) but it is near Skopje and has nothing to do with Krusevo. Other sources seems to mention Morihovo as the birthplace of Svolos. If any one has any factual data about bis birthdate, please post, otherwise I think that Krusevo gathers the highest concensus...-Getas75 (talk) 10:34, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Aromanian name

We don't translate his name based on his background. As with Papoulias or Pangalos or Karamanlis. We don't know what his native language actually was btw. But that's not so important as to show that the name was actually used in a certain context. Inside his family for instance, and presumably in order for this to have been noted, inside the Aromanian community where he grew up. I can only find this presumed name in transliterations of of some titles like "Symmeikta eis mnemen Alexandru Svolu" (Σύμμεικτα εις μνήμην Αλεξάνδρου Σβώλου), which is an inflexional form of the Greek name.--Δρακόλακκος (talk) 10:10, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Svolos/Svolu was an ethnic Aromanian from Kruševo. His first language was Aromanian, his family were pro-greek patriachists. It is relevant information given that his native name and language were Aromanian. There is no reason why these facts should not be included. PMK1 (talk) 11:32, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Nope, you don't know that, sorry. You just assume all these things based on a perspective that slims down their Greekness to religious authority affiliation. Things are pretty simple, source the name, don't construct it.--Δρακόλακκος (talk) 11:49, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
