Third-party sources edit

OK, she describes herself as an "academic and journalist" on her own website, but is this third-party sourcable, or indeed at all accurate? Wouldn't "person off the telly with a recent doctorate" be closer to the point? (No, that wasn't a suggested edit.) Also, it seems (typically, on Wikipedia) odd that she's in a "Polish British" category, when she's blatantly a Yank. Smartiger (talk) 00:05, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

No, links to her PhD thesis won't suffice; that makes her a "broadcaster with a PhD", not an "academic". If she's at any pointed worked as an academic, she wouldn't appear to pass the "average college professor" test. Her actual notability seems to be as a broadcaster and journalist, so let's try stating that precisely as such. Smartiger (talk) 06:40, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Digital Human edit

This article says that since 2011, she has presented a programme called "Digital Human". I wonder whether a definite article should be added here, as I am sure that on BBC Radio Four I have heard this programme referred to as "The Digital Human". Vorbee (talk) 16:35, 18 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Vocal affliction edit

Krotoski suffers from quite a severe vocal fry affliction. Should this be mentioned in the article as it would seem to be a notable achievement to have obtained a broadcasting role in spite of it, even though it makes it somewhat difficult at times to understand the intent of her intonation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.190.224.47 (talk) 17:09, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hipster? edit

As well as being a conspicuous yank - 'ardisd' (artist), 'innerview' (interview), 'darda' (data), 'digidle' (digital), 'noo' (new), 'compuders' (computers), etc. - she users hipster language inappropriate to her age and sociology topic of choice: technology, e.g. ... 'an Insta' (Instagram post), 'algos' (algorithms).

Poor woman, how embarrassing! 2A00:23EE:2FB0:94CF:FF63:D253:DDE4:D649 (talk) 16:59, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
