Repo Man comparison

Regarding the following statement: "Additionally, Public Image Ltd.'s Album cover design and colors are very similar, if not identical, to the many generic items featured in 1984's Repo Man motion picture." Isn't it more likely that the concept is similar to generic products themselves? They certainly weren't/aren't unique to the film Repo Man. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 03:50, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

As I mentioned, the design concept (i.e. dark blue text on a white and light blue background) is the same as that of generic products (i.e. dark blue text on a white and light blue background). Generic brands were around before, and are not unique to, Repo Man. You would bet a large sum, based on what? A visual comparison between the two is original research. Those generic products (with that exact color scheme) were around long before Repo Man - I know - I frequently bought them back then. Finwailin (talk) 12:41, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

"Flipper"

"Flipper, a punk band from San Francisco, California, had released an album with the same concept and a near-identical name, Album - Generic Flipper, in 1982. Later in 1986, Flipper retaliated by releasing a live album entitled Public Flipper Limited Live 1980-1985."
