It should be southwestern Saskatchewan, not southeasthern Saskatchewan.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.128.205.12 (talkcontribs) 04:53, March 2, 2007.

Right, fixed. --Qyd 14:22, 2 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Anyone care to insert something about the design of the building as far as eyesore issues? I live in Calgary, and there was quite a sizable proportion of people and local residents who had the hospital in line of sight that had issues over it blending into the surrounding countryside. (it doesnt)

I gather that in England, there is a government body that oversees things being designed so that it isnt out of keeping with the surrounding countryside, English Heritage it's called I believe. It's interesting because when several English freinds of mine came over to visit me in Calgary recently, when driving along Sarcee trail, they were incredulous as to how 'ugly that building is'. I mentioned it was the new Kids hospital, and the their consensus was it would have never got past planning stage if it was to be built in England, as it was too ugly.

I guess I can see their point. Perhaps they should have painted the outside grass green..... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.210.58.185 (talk) 21:47, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Building Design edit

Sorry, but as far as I know, the hosptial is not considered an eyesore. In fact, the building was designed by the ACH Teen Advisory group, which decided on how the hospital would appear. The building is to be viewed in the eyes of a child, which is what the ACH is about. I disagree that this building is "ugly" and do not recommend that it be added to any pages discussing poor aesthetic qualities.

I love the design. I always enjoy colorful buildings like this. AtticusX (talk) 06:04, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
