Explanation

Can someone explain to me how the Albanians were isolated in Yugoslavia-their late president was a fellow at the Sorbonne in the early seventies, the University at Prishtina was albanian-dominated since the early sixties, The institute of Albanian Studies (of which Rugova was director) was founded in the early seventies?

Albanian literature is literature written in the Albanian language, not latin

The text of the article says:

• Meshari (The Missal) by Gjon Buzuku, published by him in 1555, is considered to date as the first literary work of written Albanian.

Therefore none of the authors presented in the section named Renaissance published works written on Albanian language. If nobody objects in reasonable period of time, say a week, I will remove text about authors and their works before 1555.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 15:24, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

They are Albanian authors and they will stay. Take a look on Italian literature or French literature and other similar articles. What you are asking is absurd in terms of similar articles. Aigest (talk) 16:10, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Take look on German literature, Russian literature, Ancient Egyptian literature, Arabic literature, Spanish literature, Ancient Greek literature, Hebrew literature, Yiddish literature, Turkish literature, ...

French literature refers to citizens of France (literature written in the French language, particularly by citizens of France), not to people which ethnicity is French. In case of the Italian literature term Italians is used as demonym which define Italians "by citizenship, regardless of ancestry or country of residence".

Theodor of Shkodra

I don't want to be a killjoy, but are we really sure, that Theodor of Shkodra and his magnificent manuscript actually existed/exist. The manuscript sounds amazingly elaborate, large and polished. Only actual English source confirming the existence of manuscripts is a rather vague and ambiguous passage in literary history of Robert Elsie (2005) or some other texts apparently depending on Elsie. Even dr. Elsie doesn't seem to mention this revolutionary discovery in his later work. After two decades of discovery one would assume, that we had something more substantial. Anyway, it is clear, that mysterious Theodor did not live in 11th century (i.e. 1001 - 1100) if he wrote his manuscript in 1210 AD. 188.238.178.50 (talk) 14:52, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
