Kennecott Alaska edit

In your paragraph Kennecott/Kennicott you said Kennecott was the largest copper mine in the world at one time. Where is your citation to prove your source? The mines in Bisbee AZ, Butte MT, Morenci AZ and Jerome AZ were all active at that time, and several of the operations were by far much larger than Kennecott ever wished to be. Sure it was a rich deposit, but not by far the largest in size, underground mileage, number of employed or daily volume of ore produced.

Kennecott the COMPANY, now that is a different story and could possibly be true. They are the second largest US producer in annual copper, second only to Freeport-McMorans Morenci AZ mine. Nmboomhand (talk) 00:21, 10 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
