Copyright violation edit

I don't know how to use the copyright templates but the first paragraph under "Early life and career" is practically word for word copy from AllMovie.--Nedergard (talk) 13:06, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've dealt with the WP:COPYVIO issues. Better late than never. Clarityfiend (talk) 09:07, 16 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Napier's height edit

The Internet Movie Database and the site CelebHeights have Napier at 6'6 (1.98m). He certainly looks that tall on screen, since he towers over Sean Connery (in Alfred Hitchcock's "Marnie") and Adam West (in the "Batman" TV series), who are both 6'2. Therefore, this 6ft 4.5in reference in the article is probably wrong. MUSIKVEREIN (talk) 21:52, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Possibly, but you can't use IMDb or your own eyeballs as a reference. Go forth and find thyself a reliable source. After a bit of thought, I've added the disagreement in the text itself. Clarityfiend (talk) 23:07, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Many thanks, Clarityfiend. My intention was just to contribute this piece of information. If I find a reliable source as per Wikipedia standards, I'll include it in the article. MUSIKVEREIN (talk) 16:23, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

@MUSIKVEREIN: and @Clarityfiend: Yes, there's a reason for it. Napier was genuinely at least 6 ft 6, easily it with Connery, Adam West and John Wayne who were big guys themselves. He was so tall that it was common in his day for guys over 6 ft 4 to downgrade themselves in their agencies so as the film execs wouldn't think them too freakish and give them more chance of getting roles. Christopher Lee and Rock Hudson I think did the same. So it doesn't surprise me that they tried to claim Napier was smaller. I think it would be best to not bother citing the height.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:24, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Location edit

Napier's birth location has been changed from Kings Norton, Worcestershire to Kings Norton, Birmingham. While the latter description is the present day situation, historically Kings Norton was in Worcestershire and was at the time of Napier's birth. Which should we go with?

Spouse information incorrect edit

The information on his spouses is in error. The dates specifically overlap and extend longer than he lived. Anyone have correct information? Mapnick (talk) 12:14, 1 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ah - realised that the dates are their lifespans. Are there sources as to when he was married to them, as is more typical for biographical entries? Mapnick (talk) 12:17, 1 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

First marriage was 1930 in UK, divorced 1944, Second marriage 1944, I don't know where. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 16:04, 1 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
