Speedy deletion edit

It is not a hoax. Please see the Al-Haramain v. Obama for the name. Obviously it is not an obvious hoax, and using "Obama" does not make it such. Any argument to the contrary is ludacris. Articles on the lawsuit are verifiable and reliable. See [1], [2] and [3] for example. Int21h (talk) 00:40, 14 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Status and Advice edit

The sources are reliable & support the article, so it is certainly not a hoax But I gather from them that this was one of a number of very similar cases ruled on simultaneously. I would suggest writing an article on the group, though I am not sure how to title it, and make redirects from the individual case names. As a single district court ruling, this one may not be notable on its own. DGG ( talk ) 00:44, 14 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Have at it. The article referenced mention some other cases, but I don't think they have made it as far. It seems to be one of the only cases regarding the wiretapping scandal to have made it to a successful judgment, or even past the preliminary stages. Int21h (talk) 21:26, 14 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

2012 Update from 9th Circuit edit

The 9th Circuit recently released this matter about the case. An editor more familiar with legal articles should update the wiki-article with the information. http://www.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2012/08/07/11-15468.pdf Thelema418 (talk) 03:07, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
