Opening statement is incorrect edit

the openeing statement "The Air Ministry was a department of the Government of the United Kingdom with the responsibility of managing the affairs of the Royal Air Force," is incorrect.

The Air Ministry was in fact "a department of the Government of the United Kingdom" with the responsibility of managing "British Aviation and Aeronautics" , both the Service (Royal Air Force) and the Civil (Civilian Aviation) sides of British Aviation.

Created in 1918, the Department took up the authority for Control of Civilian Aviation beginning in 1919.

An extensive but not exhaustive collection of "air ministry" documents relating to Civil Aviation can be found here [1] and should be read by any who create or edit refreences to the UK air Ministry as many of these documents were presented to Parliament and wound up in the Libraries of Universities but were rarely - if ever - read by the "common" person.
