Image:Tlccover5.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. What the hell?

Sampling

I think they sampled Bob James song "Take Me Down To Mardi Gras". Right at the begining of the Bob James song is when you can hear the beat they sampled. At 2:38 in TLC's song "Ain't 2 Proud To Beg" is when you can hear the part they sampled from Bob James song. I didn't mention this but TLC could have sampled one of the other songs listed below in the "Samples" section of the article. Release date

The November 1991 release date is plausible, but only for the first promo CD and the video. The promo CD has 1991 copyrights on it and does not feature any remixes. All other releases in Discogs have 1992 copyrights.

The video was in heavy rotation on The Juke Box Network ever since the Nov. 30, 1991 issue of Billboard.

Then, in the Feb. 1, 1992 issue, on page 20, talking about the producer, His current projects include female group TLC, which is managed by Pebbles and whose debut single, "Ain't Too Proud To Beg," has just been released on LaFace.

In that same issue, on p. 76, the first 2 radio stations (of many who came later) reported adding the song to their playlists during the week ending Jan. 21st.

In the next issue (Feb. 8), the cassette maxi-single was reviewed in the New & Noteworthy section of the Single Reviews column.

So the retail release can be confidently said to have been out in late January 1992, whereas the first promo CD probably came out around the same time as the video, in November 1991.
