Translation edit

Any chance of getting someone to polish the translation? Queenmomcat (talk) 19:23, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Does it even all need to be there?Dreambeaver (talk) 01:18, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
We definitely need an expert eye to look over this article.--Soulparadox 13:50, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

copyedit fail edit

The first section doesn't even mention the country where the inscriptions are found. I couldn't figure out who was making which inscription. An expert needs to intervene. Lfstevens (talk) 19:56, 1 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Redirect? edit

@RegentsPark: This is an important inscription found at a Jain temple in Aihole, one that has been re-edited / republished several times / questioned / re-translated / debated. It is notable, cited and debated in different contexts including those of the Chalukyas, and more generally for South Indian history. You redirected a version of this article. I agree, it was weak/meaningless, based on non-RS, and that did not deserve to exist as an independent article. I would like to expand and rewrite it, based on peer reviewed scholarship and the debate therein. Before I do, please let me know if you have additional concerns, suggestions and other reasons to keep the redirect to Aihole article? The redirected article is about Aihole and even more so, the monuments in Aihole. The short para we have on Aihole inscription (Aihole prasasthi) there is weak and it misleads. @Ms Sarah Welch: I don't really remember why I did that (perhaps someone had requested it?) but, of course, if you can make it into an article, go ahead. --RegentsPark (comment) 20:26, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
