Ae?

edit

I don't undertsand this.Can someone please explain?

Gladly. 'Ae' is an indefinite article in Scots. The Robert Burns song 'Ae Fond kiss' is what you hear not long after the beginning of the film (sung by the schoolgirl after Casim and his sister have exited Roisin's classroom). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.25.194.76 (talk) 11:25, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Move

edit

Does anyone have an opinion whether the more popular meaning of "Ae Fond Kiss" is the original poem by Robert Burns rather than this film? If so, perhaps this article be moved to "Ae Fond Kiss (film)". Some of Burns' other famous works have articles in their own right. JMcC (talk) 19:52, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ae Fond Kiss...Ae Fond Kiss ... (film) – Since the proper name of the song is "Ae fond kiss and then we sever", it could reasonably be referred to with ellipses and hence they don't help disambiguate. * Pppery * it has begun... 20:59, 1 May 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ToadetteEdit! 11:34, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
