Hip or thigh?

The article is named "Adductor muscles of the hip" but all my references address them as muscles of the thigh. Here on Wikipedia they are present in Category:Thigh muscles but absent in Category:Hip muscles. According to the articles about pectineus muscle, gracilis muscle and gluteus maximus muscle the data about the innervation and the effect of these muscles as described in this article are wrong. It says they are not innervated by obturator nerve, but they are, as is the not-mentioned obturator ext muscle, an addductor. Adductor minimus is described both as a variant and as a constantly present muscle. Part of adductor magnus is innervated by tibial nerve. Gluteus maximus is described as an adductor which it is not. What are these body parts called?

I'm trying to figure out the name of this distinct shape on the inner thigh.

Or don't these (the external visible shapes) have a specific name, so that we have to call them by the underlying muscles or ligaments tendons? And if so, which are those? --80.217.2.28 (talk) 13:30, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

I suppose you mean the tendon of adductor longus muscle. This muscle is inserted at the pubic bone and there its tendon can be felt. Koosg (talk) 00:20, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
