Some follow up required. edit
The statement that "During the 1934 election campaign Blain promised to resign from parliament if the Northern Territory representative was not granted full voting rights in parliament. He reneged on this promise but continued to campaign for greater Territory control of Northern Territory affairs." seems to ignore that in 1936 the member for the Northern Territory gained limited voting rights for the first time. And a bit more is needed on his time in Borneo as a POW including his famous letter that was smuggled out by an escaped POW and delivered to the Australian Minister for the Army.--Anthony Staunton (talk) 06:58, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
