Almost impossible edit

This article is somewhat short and incomplete, and has small conceptual imprecisions or errors that need to be cleaned. In the High Fidelity field, absolute phase integrity is almost impossible to achieve, even with very high quality equipment. Therefore, a more complete definition of the term "Phase" is needed to explain how the relative phase angle of the signal changes with respect to frequency, e.g. phase response. amclaussen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.100.180.19 (talkcontribs) 21:35, July 21, 2011 UTC

standards edit

I do wonder if there is a standard for the polarity of microphones and speakers. Microphones commonly have a coaxial connector, so there could be a standard. Speakers commonly don't use a coaxial cable but have +/- or color code, but mostly to get relative phase for stereo right. And how many amplifiers don't invert the signal?
