The actual meaning of the name Abhijeet is 'UNIQUE' or "One of its kind" its an Indian Name so cannot be translated into English, if translated it will sound funny, 'ABHI' means 'NOW' in English and 'JEET' means 'WIN' in English so that will be now-win ???

divide the word i.e. the two elements 1.abhi 2.jeet/jit

i searched many sites, just to find different info.

first element had dozens of meaning abhi--------------------------towards victory.

abhih------------------------fearless (last 'h' is silent)

well second element had few meanings jeet/jit---------------------------Conquered/Conqueror/Not Conquerable/undefeated/victory.***(but this meanings comes under Hindi/Urdu category not Sanskrit)

jeet/jit --------------------------to be alive. never born but exists.

jit---------------------------------one of names of Arjun( From Pandavs)

jita-------------------------------Conquered (Sanskrit category) but watch the spell.. 'a' is not silent

now if we join these two elements now what will be the meaning then, this will make many combination.........

its also the name of 28th nakshatra (constellation). people usually think there are 27.
