Rear Family of Aberthau House edit

James Strange Rear, Insurance Agent and former owner of Aberthau house, was born on Aug 7, 1876 in Ontario and died on Jun 4, 1945 in Vancouver. His wife was Ethel Shopland b. 1876 London, Ontario, daughter of John Shopland and Annie Taylor. They were married in 1900 in Middlesex, Ontario. The parents of James are William Rear, physician, and Sarah Florence Bower. (Source: Ancestry.com)
