Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (it is an article that is not quite finished, and also records a significant Endowment to the sciences, and I am endeavouring to upgrade the record of academic fellowships and awards that are available to academics in the area of the sciences in general, since this is often overlooked. This is actually a substantial bequest, and funds several professorships, and as such is quite notable, as is the individual family who established it.) --Ybidzian (talk) 16:04, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

If necessary I imagine the article could be renamed The Abel Bliss Professorship, but I feel that the details of the person it is named for should be retained, even if the Abel Bliss Professorship is deemed to be more important than the person himself. Ybidzian (talk) 17:01, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

At present the article is about Abel Bliss maybe a move to another name would help, I'm not sure of the notability guidelines in regard to academic awards. Mo ainm~Talk 17:20, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
