Secondly, a search on bollywoodhungama.com results on following links

• http://www.bollywoodhungama.com/movies/cast/3465/index.html (indicating release date in 1974)
• http://www.bollywoodhungama.com/movies/cast/13191/index.html (indicting release date in 1977)

Thirdly, K. Balachander's filmography, as director, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kailasam_Balachander_filmography) suggest that he directed this film in 1974.

No definite release dates were given on bollywoodhungama.com while the other two links (imdb and jointscene) specify the release date as 28-Feb-1977. It is quite possible that the film was produced in 1974 while it was released for exhibition in 1977. In those days, this phenomenon was quite common. This is supported by the fact that some of the movies, produced during the lifetime of the senior actors/actresses, were released after their death. For instance, please refer the following line under column "Death" for actor Amjad Khan, who passed away on 27 July 1992:

"Several of the films he had completed when he was alive were released after his death - right until 1996."

In light of the above and based on the release date discussed, this film may be indicated to be produced in 1974 and released for exhibition in 1977, with appropriate note.

IMDB is not a reliable one and so is "Jointscene" because it lists most of the films' released date as 01-Jan, Bollywoodhungama indicates both the years. We'll have to go for some other sources. --Commander _{(Ping Me)} 17:59, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
