POV edit

Orange is a good source for vitamins. I think that is POV. --SuperDude 03:19, 12 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Ah... no. It's a scientifically verifiable fact: oranges contain vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, calcium, folic acid, magnesium, and potassium (source). You could have looked this up yourself, mind, and this is a pretty obvious misuse of the {{NPOV}} tag. – Seancdaug 14:29, 12 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps it would be best to change the word "excellent" into something else that indicates just how many vitamins oranges provide. It's kind of a nitpick though. I don't see a big problem of POV. --MaskedSheik 20:12, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sequel? edit

I have heard that the DS game planned has been terminated, sadly. Can anyone verify this?--24.82.139.12 07:54, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't show up for sale on any retail website, so it looks like it may have been scrapped.
Retailers are not a reliable source of information, especially when it comes to release dates. Majesco hasn't said it's been cancelled, and they haven't given a release date... (was it even announced?). Anyway, wait for an official word. -Xeon25 22:58, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Although I have never seen this game for sale anywhere, Gamespot claims it was released in Oct. 2005. [Gamespot page] Kat, Queen of Typos 20:50, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
The IGN interview confirms it isn't a sequel, but, quouting the article, "a whole new game that is more inspired by" the original than anything else."(1) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.65.253.30 (talk) 04:50, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Story section edit

I removed the "Story" section, as it probably is the source of the formal tone disclaimer on the top of the article. More or less anything in the story section is also in the overview section. I also removed the "tone" disclaimer, as I think the rest of the article is in formal tone; please reinsert it if you disagree. --Spug 17:47, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Flying Omelette edit

I can't get the exact link since I'm on a filtered school computer right now, but David Crane e-mailed Flying Omelette (www.flyingomelette.com) regarding the creatures that inspired his blob. Check it out in the Q&A's (his e-mail is in the archives). I think that would be interesting information to include in the article. --MaskedSheik 20:12, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Grape Jelly Beans [?] edit

Several strategy guides for "A Boy and His Blob" mention grape flavored Jelly Beans, as one of the 3 flavors which are not available at the start of the game; (the other two are Orange and Lime).

Was this just an unsubstantiated rumor, or were there plans (at first) to include this flavor? Pine 05:48, 3 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Male Puberty edit

The bit about the box art hinting at male puberty sounds extremely far fetched. Moreover, I can't find any of this debate that apparently so many in the community are having over this issue. If nobody objects, I'll remove that section. 82.95.254.30 14:22, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Consider it done. XMog 17:49, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
It seems some people want that paragraph to remain there. Is there any source for it? As the previous user said, it sounds very far-fetched. Please provide a source, or state a valid reason for it to be listed without one. XMog 04:23, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is one of those games I have never played yet but which is on my list of games I'll try to play somewhen in the future. This article is short; it won't be long until I finish the review. I will finish it in 3 days at most.

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose):   b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
[1] is a blog, and I can't find its about page. It is better to replace it with a more reliable source.
Done I've removed the last sentence and source, as it was not written by Kurt Kalata as per our list of reliable sources. ~ Hibana (talk) 14:19, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
"lives at the top." - maybe just "life points"? "at the top" should be removed, as HUD is everytime at the top.
Done I removed "at the top" but called them "extra lives" since "life points" would not be accurate (the player dies after one hit). ~ Hibana (talk) 14:19, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
  • ISSN check: one broken
  • Dabsolver check: ok
  • Checklinks check: ok
  • Reflinks check: ok
  • "industry veteran" - why? how?
    •   Done Phrase removed. ~ Hibana (talk) 14:19, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • What does "three ways" in "However, the plans never came to fruition due to deadlines and difficulty in dividing production resources three ways" means?
