translation edit

I have added information on the TYPE R from the Dutch language edition of wikipedia, but it is in HTML code until it's translated. Myrtone@ADtranz low floor tram.com.au

I have no clue what it is trying to say. This may not help, but I thought I should mention it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:4B:AE6C:F733:9954:4104:B954:DF68 (talk) 22:13, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Me either. "Except for being renewed with the latest technology, it also featured a larger distance between the axles knows to this material (2 meters instead of 1.85 meter) so that the leg space on top of the bogies could be increased." has to be a bad translation. Good source: "Applicability of Low-Floor Light Rail Vehicles in North America" (1995) [1], which has detailed info on all available low-floor trams as of 1995. The AdTrans GT8N/GT6N is covered on page 23-24 and in Fig. 44. There's considerable complexity involved in building a rail vehicle where the entire floor is lower than the centerline of the wheels, since there cannot be an axle. That report covers how it was done back then. John Nagle (talk) 06:21, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
