Reference edit

The following reference was cited to support the statement that the 54th is a total force associate of the 932d Airlift Wing. Brown, Jackie-Lynn. A4L Staff - Air University (ed.). Flight Attendant Journeyman Career Development Course 1A651. Lackland AFB, TX: Air Education and Training Command. pp. 1–13.{{cite book}}: CS1 maint: numeric names: editors list (link)  It seems unlikely that this type of document would address the assignment of units. If I am mistaken, I'd appreciate knowing what was said about the assignment in the course materials, and it can be restored. --Lineagegeek (talk) 19:39, 12 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Merger edit

554th Reconnaissance Squadron should be merged into this article. It is a stub amd length does not argue against the merger. This is the most current designation of the unit and the merger is consistent with WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME (An article about a unit, formation, or base should be placed at "Name (optional disambiguator)". The name should generally be either the official name used by the armed forces to which the unit or base belongs. When a unit or base has had multiple names over the course of its existence, the title should generally be the last name used; however, exceptions can be made in cases where the subject is clearly more commonly known by one of the previous names. The exception does not apply. --Lineagegeek (talk) 20:00, 24 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Merger edit

54th Bombardment Squadron should be merged into this article. Although that article is better developed than the previously merged article, length still does not argue against the merger. The exception does not apply because the 54th Bombardment Squadron was known by several names, including 54th Aero Squadron, 466th Aero Squadron, and 54th School Squadron. --Lineagegeek (talk) 12:24, 4 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
