  • ... that the Royal Navy's 4th Submarine Squadron (HMS Tactician pictured) operated from Sydney to train Australian personnel in anti-submarine warfare? Source: "Royal Navy submarines had an important Commonwealth ASW training role ... as nuclear submarines entered service the Royal Navy sought to shed this conventional role by encouraging Australian and Canada to build up their own submarine forces. HMS Tabard is shown on 4 September 1969 while serving with the 4th Submarine Squadron based at Sydney" from: Friedman, Norman (30 September 2020). British Submarines in the Cold War Era. • Review follows:   Article was new enough at time of nomination, and is long enough. It is neutral, sufficiently cited, and does not have any issues with copyright violations. The image is freely licensed (public domain), is used in the article, works well at 100px, and has an appropriate caption. QPQ has been done, and both hooks are cited. My only concern is that they may not be particularly interesting to a general audience. I suggest mentioning that the squadron served for 20 years, which is something I found interesting when reading the article. That could be incorporated into ALT0. It's not the end of the world if the existing hooks are used, however, so I'm going to approve this. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 16:32, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
